Sorry I have not replied. I agree totally with your thoughts on the "absolutes" statement. Star Wars in no way is a one-to-one parallel to reality. I have lots of thoughts on how the movie may have many illustrative points to reality however over on my blog.

Isn't there a line near the end where OB1 tells Annakin that only Sith's think in absolutes? And if this is said by “the good guy,” then isn't the insinuation that thinking in absolutes is a bad thing if it is done by “the bad guy?”
I haven't yet seen the film and so I may be misquoting or reading too much into it. I'm just interested in your thoughts since you've seen the film.

That's a great insight Jason. There's been plenty of talk about how Anakin (and possibly Luke as well) are Christ-figures in the movies. Really, it shows how much we need the one true and perfect Christ-figure, Christ Himself.

Thanks for your thoughts. It is incredible how Star Wars forms a micrscopic view of reality. A sci-fi model of the real thing, if you will. I am angry with myself that I relate so well to Anakin. This is proof that I need a Savior. Thank you Lord Jesus.
