I was amused by the following statement:

"Had President Clinton said, "I am sorry for my lapse in judgment. I am sorry to my family and to my country," Republicans would have dropped the Monica Lewinsky affair.

Prager should have used issue or scandal instead of affair. The one who should have dropped the affair was President Clinton.
Otherwise, I agree with the gist of the article, with the acknowledgement that Micah's correction is spot on. I think this conveys the attitude of some of the leaders in the Democratic party, especially the one it names.

I actually agree with you that this particular article isn't as diplomatic as Prager usually is, and I hope it won't upset people--I considered not posting it for that reason. (Usually he's very careful to say that he's generalizing, and there are good and bad people on both sides.) I'm hoping people will not take personal offense, but instead that all will decide to not commit this fallacy (of assuming bad motives of the opposition); and I mean this to apply to conservatives as well as liberals--we should all check our attitudes on this one. What moved me to post this in the end was hearing reasonable people--even friends--communicate similar sentiments about conservatives in recent discussions. I knew that people beyond Dean felt this way, but I didn't realize that reasonable people felt this way. It seems to me, based on recent discussions on this and other blogs that even thoughtful liberals believe deep down that Republicans have bad motives. This may not be true of the majority, but it seems that enough feel this way to make this worth addressing.
