Derrick, thank you so much for the encouragement. It means a lot to hear that you've been blessed by our work–and that you'd put us on a level with those other three! It always amazes me that God would grant me the privilege of being used by Him.

I am almost afraid to give you my address because I am not in the same league as you folks here at the Team. But here it is http://www.bright-idea.blogspot.com
My plan is to have a mix between my four favorite blogs (except on a much smaller scale): STR, A-Team, Doug Tennapel, and Scott Klusendorf I read these blogs…well…religiously. I will also comment on some everyday stuff that encourages or concerns me (marriage, finding a job, etc…)
Also, do you (or anyone) know if blogspot.com has a subscribe feature like you guys (and gal) have to receive notifications? Can anyone tell I am a newbie?
I truly am blessed by what you are doing around here. Keep it up.

Hey, a semi unrelated question. I recently stated a blog (see: 4 entries), and I was wondering if there is a way to get a counter that shows how many people have checked out my blog (currently: uh…me). Anybody know how to do that?

That's pretty much what I have been doing too. The email approach has been far more effective once we make the initial connect from the blog… The conversations are much more personal and significant…

Mark, those things are definitely effective for encouraging conversation. How did you first choose the blogs you commented on? Did you come across them randomly? Did you begin with someone you knew and then follow the links? Did they find you? I'm curious to hear.

I'm kind of bummed out I won't be at GodBlogCon to check out your breakout session. This is really important as blogging is a great opportunity for evangelism that has been largely untapped thus far. So I wish you the best in getting the word out on the idea of apologetics blogging.

I try to initiate conversations with those not professing faith in Christ by commenting on their blogs, emailing them, responding to their comments, and often, linking to their blogs. The result seems to be ongoing dialog, which I believe is what must happen in order for faith in Christ to be sparked in people.
