Thanks for taking the time. It was great to meet you all and to engage some of your criticisms face-to-face. Let's hope there's more of thid, cuz it makes us all better thinkers and better Christians.

This is great news, Roger! It's always exciting to see someone step out of the protective bubble of blogdom to make the effort for face-to-face dialogue, which is very different and much more life changing.
I've had the opportunity to sit down and chat with emerging folk at several local gatherings (including one with Tony Jones visiting). Ti was through those that I was very impressed with the fervent, sincere love for Christ, his church, and the lost that these people have. I may still disagree with them in some areas of theology, but it is much harder for me to deny that they are genuine brothers and sisters in Christ after having met them.
