I as a Parent, having heard much hype regarding this game, found myself curious.
I don't allow my son to play many video games for several reasons. One, mostly due to the content and absurd violence. But, I went to the website to do some homework and see for myself. I allowed my son to play the demo... he was intrigued enough to ask for it.
I did purchase the game for the level of violence it DOES NOT HAVE, which is very important to me.
I wanted to place comment to all the hype that has been created.
Watching my son play this game I can personally attest that this game IS NOT about Christian's killing non-Christians.
Contrary to the popular belief the media circus an radical Christian's have set forth.
It is simply Not True.
First to put things in perspective... It is a Game.
Second, it is clear to me that this game is of Good vs Evil. Those who have not play it don't seem to get the point that this game takes place... After the "rapture", hence... ALL the Christian's have "Vanished", leaving you and me... left behind, believer's, to seek out the truth. The Global Peace keepers, which are actually a One World Government force (the anti-Christ) are to deceive the public masses.
This game wasn't intended to replace my bible and teach my son the meaning of God, Jesus Christ, and the world that surrounds us. That is MY job as a Parent.
What it is... is a Game with choices... and consequences, and ALOT LESS violence than that of the games so popular on the market today, that they are being compared to, or that people are writing about.
I never read the series of books, so I can not compare the ideology of the books... just that I DO NOT see in the game what everyone is up in arms about.
It is a Game. My son enjoys it enough, and plays with his friends.
Buy it, play it... or move on. As Americans... we still have that choice.
Groups that are arguing and debating this game should really focus on the real tragedies in our country... and Stop sweating the small stuff.
