Hugh, great point on your blog about people's reactions to Jesus. I've had people ask me why the people around Jesus–the people who actually saw him–didn't always worship him or recognize who he was. This story is a great illustration of humanity's blindness. And talk about the worries of the world choking out something beautiful!

Wow. Wow. What an incredible story, Brian. Thank you so much for posting that link. There are so many lessons to draw from that–from the perspective of the artist and from the perspective of the passers-by. I'll be thinking about that for days. Amy, This resonates with a post I wrote on the Joshua Bell experiment. If the best violinist in the world, playing a $3.5 million instrument, can't command an audience, then what earthly chance do we have? And yet, we do it. Greg Koukl was at my church this weekend and he reminded us a number of times that we are performing for an audience of One. I found that helpful. P.S. I had the privilege of accompanying Greg to the airport on his way out of town. I promise you I hadn't read this piece when I told him to give you my props on your work out here (and at STR) on the blogs. Here's hoping that's a little helium to your soul.

Believe it or not God used that Ezekiel verse to call me into ministry. In addition, this article may be encouraging. I commented on it here. The idea is that even though others may not recognize the greatness of God, no matter, the reality is that God is great in your life, and mine. Blessings.

Glad you're doing good and keeping your chin up. Of course, there's Matt 7:6 to consider. (I imagine that you have, but it wouldn't do not to bring it up, right?) An uncle reminded me recently that discerning when we're casting pearls before swine and when we're giving water to the thirsty is something that will continue thru out our lives. Any tips? God bless.
