I concur thoroughly with Jones here, but I do have a question: you seem to link our self-absorbed, individualistic cultural mindset with postmodernism.  What exactly do you see the connection as being?  Is a postmodern culture necessarily self-absorbed?  I ask because those we might call &quot;postmodern&quot; tend to make the claim that we evangelical Christians like to (overzealously and baselessly) lay the blame for most of our perceived cultural ills at the feet of postmodernism.  It seems as if you are saying that the new view of freedom is a result of the change in our culture&#039;s view of morality.  Is that where you see the seeds of this being sown?  I&#039;d be interested to see you flesh this thought out a bit.]]></description>
