Hi Roger,
I'm sorry to hear of you leaving your church. Even under the best of circumstances, at the best of times, it is a painful thing. The church is a fragile and fickle creation, and knowing one's place in it can be difficult, especially if things change over time, as they are guaranteed to. Sometimes churches lose sight of what's important, and sometimes people do. Again, I'm sorry that you're experiencing this - it's never pleasant, and I rather suspect that I know some of how you feel.
I hope you find another community, which causes you to grow in your knowledge and love of God, of the scriptures, and of your fellow Christians. Don't forget to pray for your old church, and continue to remember them with love and affection. And don't forget to grieve. Church is supposed to be family - if leaving was easy, then something would be have to be wrong. And in all things, remember and rely upon the grace in which you stand in Christ Jesus, the author and perfector of your faith.
May God's grace and peace go with you,
