Thanks for the post Aaron.

It reminded me of when I went to Urbana Missions Conference in 06. So many people there were so fixated on Social Justice as an aspect of missions, the forgot about the central part of missions… the Great Commission. Many of them didn’t bother with the gospel ever. This made me very sad, a full belly, but an empty soul does nothing for the person.

I always want to ask the skeptic who is trying to inform me that I am no different than other animals: Why is HIS jumble of atoms trying to MY jumble of atoms that we are no different than the animals, but HIS jumble of atoms doesn’t bother convincing the atoms of animals? In other words, WHO exactly are YOU talking to?

Is Christianity Anti-Romance?

Thanks for the post! This is something I have been wrestling with for a long time, because we, as a culture, hold romantic love up so high we think if the “fire is gone” its a reason to divorce. This cannot be true!

I wonder if the best romantic love can come out of a correct understanding and striving for companionship love? Wouldn’t the experience of 50+ years together deepen your romance?

I have also noticed how liberalism in lending itself to the realization of social justice, also seems to promote a lot of legalism… not that this is the only group to get legalistic, but I have noticed there is a connection.
